Another lovely weekend
Spent the day Friday touring some of the monuments. Did a loop of the White House, Washington Monument, WWII Memorial, WWI Memorial, Korean War Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, and one I'd never seen before, 56 Signers of the Declaration of Independence Memorial, which I rather liked (I'll post pictures later). "I'm too much..."
Office was around 88 this morning, but it looks like the A/C *finally* kicked in as it's down to 85.3 right now. Turns out we weren't on the waiting list - the chiller broke, but no one bothered to tell us until we pestered them about it. Took 'em long enough. Now I'm warned the building will be freezing for the rest of the summer. Lovely. ( Read more... ) -

Monday update
Rain yesterday, ice on the ground this morning, and bitter cold out. I guess that's the worst of the remnants we're getting from the storm up north, though, as it'll be warmer and only a little wet for the rest of the week ( Read more... ) -
Quickie little update
Not too much to report. Last week work kicked my ass, and it's not getting any better. My one boss is valiantly working to keep us from drowning by trying to stay proactive and upbeat, but it has its limits. This week is looking just as bad - last week of classes this week, finals next week, and the added goodtime funness of moving into a new ( Read more... ) -
Today's random updates
Good weekend at Mom's. Took Friday off, got a few things done, including covering the pool and finally getting her set up with high speed internet. Good Sister came down with the kids Saturday. Prince puked on the way up, and Posh caterwauled for an hour on the way back. Very odd for both of them. Also came home with a box full of Dad's tools ( Read more... ) -
