It was a good Thanksgiving - no traffic either way, fantastic time hanging with Mom (both shopping and getting chores done), dinner was superb as always, got to hang out with friends playing board games all day Friday, and rented a Cube again so I enjoyed the drive ( Read more... )

Q's been fighting something off but he finally gave in, so we didn't go to Mom's as planned. Instead we went out food shopping today and I'm cooking a turkey here at home tomorrow. We had a lovely Thanksgiving at our friends Greg & John's house, with their soon to be adopted daughter Jocelyn and their foster son Moe. T'was quite nice to catch up with them, and hopefully we'll see them again around Christmas.

I heard my first Christmas song on the drive home on Saturday ("The Most Wonderful Time of the Year"). On the one hand, I do love Christmas. On the other, it's not even Thanksgiving yet. BAH.

This weekend was Sloth-O-Rama. We survived several days of rain last week (yay rain!), so Friday night we finally got up to Waldorf to pick up Q's comics, and we perused the mall a bit (and started our holiday shopping). Not too much to report. Last week work kicked my ass, and it's not getting any better. My one boss is valiantly working to keep us from drowning by trying to stay proactive and upbeat, but it has its limits.
