I'm so sad. This is so messed up. My brother-in-law decides to give my sister the birthday present of bringing the family up to visit me. I'm back!!!!
After my laptop dying a few months ago, then the new laptop being a mess, I finally have a machine that works (so far so good) and I'm re-finding all my old links. Much has happened in the last few months, but will have to update at a later time. I hope everyone has been doing well. Progress!!!
Southwestern and U of Rochester are finished. Now if only Harvard's website would behave, I can do the final look over of that ap and complete it. Yeah!!!
Note: For all the stupid stuff Harvard makes you put on their ap, you could be given a later due date!
Now, maybe I can start loosing weight...I do too much nervous munching. :-p -
Grad School
Maybe I'm not grad school material. Dad's been looking over my essay for Southwestern (Dallas) and asking me some questions last night to clarify the details. Overall, it's been determined that I'm not committed enough. I haven't been curious enough to keep up with articles, etc that pertain to genetics. Now what? This morning I set out for St. Louis. The primary motivation is to see the Chihuly (sp...have to check spelling later.) glass exhibit in the Botantical Gardens, but it's going to be a multi-event trip. Birthday
It was a great birthday. It's great to have a day when you say "It's my day!" So many people at work wished me a happy birthday, and my birthday cake was a hit. (It was a flourless chocolate/blackberry brandy cake, that tasted like "a cross between a brownie and cheesecake"--a very accurate description from a coworker ( Read more... )
