Had a decent turnout at the club tonight though it was slightly spoilt by having a visiting team basically take over late evening due to a ladies football match. That wasn't the problem so much as one guy (a visiting official or whatever) looking to boot us. We pay good money every week to have the facility and if this is going to be a regular

This seems to be becomming a habit in one form or another with meetings or matches interupting. We moved to Thursday Night because Wednesday was a problem for them and as usual no good dead goes unpunished. I suggest discussing a reduction in fees if they are going to make this regular or a change of venues, ideally to one with lower prices.

I'd like to change to a larger venue with more tables for less money but I don't think we will find either one in St. Neots satisfactorily.

I may have to speak with Mike (bar guy) and point out that we are paying for the site and for that we want the table space. If they can't guarantee that for us that we'll have to look elsewhere.

There are a few other places that you might want to try and get a price for hiring.

1 - The scout hut at the bottom of Mill Hill
2 - The small hall down where your sister lives
3 - The Hyde Park (my brother used to practice there with his band. medium sized room away from the main pub area)
4 - The ATC hut down near the rugby club (don't know of they hire it out but may be worth a check)
5 - The Rugby Club (rugby players are way better mannered than football players.)

1. Did check that out in the beginning but on the nights we could do they were always in use.
2. Might do, though I expect they'll want more than £20 a week.
3. Probably not enough room to be honest. Also, I'd rather not use a pub.
4. Nice idea, again though depends on cost.
