Busy day

This morning we had Andrew's swim lesson. I dropped Rachel off at the child center (she was super clingy), got changed, and then it was time to pick up Andrew from his lesson. So I got him changed, dropped him off, and finally managed to get a decent workout. I did 2 miles on the treadmill, about 10 minutes of that at a steady jog, and the rest at ( Read more... )

Are you doing Campfire with the kids now? My mom and sister did that for a while (and dragged me along). They are pretty open and cool from what I remember.

Yeah, we started in September. It's been really great. The group of people is cool, the program is well-planned, and I'm really looking forward to participating in it for quite a while.

ooh-- is your trainer coaching you on breathing? i know you've birthed some bebes and all, but proper breathing in running makes as much difference as it does there!

Trainer?
It probably wouldn't be a bad idea for me to sign up for a session or two with a personal trainer. I've had sessions in the past, but mostly for weight training.

ah. well, if you are worried about your posture overall AND thinking of doing a little run/jog, it wouldn't hurt to get pointers (some of it quite "duh" after they make major revelation to you). stuff like preventing stitches, working them out while still moving, paced breath, where to hold your arms, making sure you're not hunching forward, getting the most out of your stride, etc. oh, and wearing a proper sports bra.
