Back from camping. Managed not to freeze to death. Actually had a fun time.

Friday the 28th the kids and I had a "bus adventure." I drove them over to the Dillo park & ride near Austin HS, then we rode the Dillo into downtown. We had lunch with Lynne and her friend, then rode another Dillo to UT and went to the Texas Memorial Museum (yay dinosaur bones!) I like this idea. We plan to be at the Children's Museum on Wednesday for the event, if anyone else feels like coming too.
It seems odd that with the event less than a week away, they don't have all the details up on the page. (shrug)

More about the corset. But it's now pretty much done, so I'll soon have something different to clutter up your f-list with :)

The only remaining things to do are to finish hand-sewing the inside bottom seam of the binding on one side (it's currently only basted), and track down a 108" brown lace. I've got the black lace from my underbust in it now ( Read more... )

This morning we had Andrew's swim lesson. I dropped Rachel off at the child center (she was super clingy), got changed, and then it was time to pick up Andrew from his lesson. So I got him changed, dropped him off, and finally managed to get a decent workout. I did 2 miles on the treadmill, about 10 minutes of that at a steady jog, and the rest at ( Read more... )

Today (Saturday) the kids and I went up to the Youngs' house for lunch, a playdate, and some Campfire planning.
