Lights!
Our power, which had been out since about 22:45 Friday night, came back around 05:50 this morning. Still don't know what to expect at the office, but at least the AC and fridge are back on. Woot! -
Prescription for Insomnia
For insomnia, I recommend sleeping less than a hundred feet from an overnight highway-construction site.

Here's the thing....
There's a reason I've held onto my LJ for nearly a decade. Scrolling back through old posts a couple nights ago, was like reconnecting with those times and events. Some of you know this already, but Rachel and I were recently faced with an unexpected turn in the health of our ten-year-old cat Mallory. I very much regret to say, that Mal passed away this evening after a two week battle with what ultimately proved to be lung cancer ( Read more... ) -

ETA one of the best bits of advice from the forum thread on this: 'Do not include yourself in this circuit'... loosely translated as 'ferfscksake be careful'...
