*sheilds eyes from The Dark Knight and Mama Mia spoilers* My stupid theater won't be getting those movies until next month. D:

That comparison of Dr. Horrible and Sweeny Todd is really interesting! I, too, was disappointed with the ending. I had hoped that Dr. Horrible would have stopped trying to be the evilest of evils, but instead he threw himself into even more evil deeds and joined the league. Like you, I didn't want him to stop being evil completely, I just didn't want him to end up the same way all the other villians have in these types of stories. *shrug* Oh well. I adored the music! :D And Captain Hammer cracked me up. XD "The hammer is my penis." BAHAHA.

Aw, lame. D: You should totally come back after seeing Dark Knight so we can discuss and flail. -nudge, nudge-

Exactly. I just wasn't impressed by Horrible's character. I loved him in the beginning and I guess we should know what to expect with Whedon. The music was indeed fantastic (I can't wait for the soundtrack so I can blast it on my laptop) and Captain Hammer makes me happy inside.

I'm hiding my eyes from the Dark Knight stuff (but OMG, I saw there were PICTURES and I want to read it so bad but I know if I do I will regret it), but yay I'm glad you enjoyed Mamma Mia. You summed it up very well. It wasn't perfect, but it was fun, and that is what carries it through. Great cast, some average singing, but you just let that go because of the fun aspect of it.

Dr Horrible. I was a bit sad about the last part. It wasn't as good as the other two parts, but it is Joss Whedon and we should know to expect the unexpected from his brain.

Yes, don't regret anything - bide your time because it will be so worth it. Though am I to expect you back here to read my review and comment once more (you said you bookmarked these)? :D

Exactly. I couldn't help but stifle giggles over Brosnan's singing but you're right - it was so fun that everything to nitpick at, seemed to slide right on by.

Yup, Whedon delivers in everything, doesn't he? The same old, same old. We should be used to it by now.

OH yes, more commenting will be done... I'm going to go through the bookmarked reviews after I've seen the film.

Penny can take care of herself. She was coming to realize that Hammer was nothing more than an ego on broad shoulders. We have no reason to believe Hammer is bad. He's the less evil version of Gaston. Horrible had no other reason than jealously - Hammer was loved by the public and had the girl. Yes, Horrible hasn't liked Hammer for a time but has never even thought about murder ('member, not his style) until Penny came along. So, in reality, I BLAME PENNY (even though she's adorable).

It wasn't the only place for him, that's the thing. He dug his grave deeper because of what he did. He blames himself (rightly so) and I understand that he would get into a funk for a while. The worse of it, in my opinion, is being hated because you're the bad guy - but then again, that's entirely opinion. He's chosen to live a life where he's constantly reminded of what he did instead of getting away from it all and returning to his life of 'not really' being a villain as you said. I never said he should go back to a normal life but he had a choice and ( ... )

He was quite phenomenal, no? I am still in complete awe of him. I think I always will be. The best of it was that I didn't see Heath, I saw the Joker.

Ooh, I loved Maggie - I thought she was much better than Katie. Her Rachel was lovely and I like that she had some balls. Not every girl would knee the Joker in the crotch. I dunno, I can't really tell if I'm okay with her death yet. My heart absolutely aches for Harvey. D:

Sorry to burst your bubble, but I'm not sure if they actually killed Harvey off. I'm quite sure that Two-Face was intended as the main villain of the third film (if there is one). I don't know for sure yet, though, because the films could stop here so he could be dead. It's all up in the air, I think. I want more of Two-Face - I think he is brilliant and much scarier than the Joker. Plus his motivation is lost love and I think that's heart breaking ( ... )

SPOILERS IN THIS COMMENT

I AGREE 500000000000% with your Batman review! I've already seen it twice (yea, I am that much of a dweeb), but it was AMAZING! Indescribably amazing. It's even better the second time around if you haven't gotten there yet.

After we saw it, my dad and I were talking about it, and we're talking about the Joker, and I'm like, "it's just such a shame.. cause who would want to play the Joker now? they know they'd be a let down after the breathtaking performance Heath gave" ... it's just so sad.

Then, Gary Oldham IS sexy... he's simply beautiful as Gordon, and I don't care what anyone thinks about that, hahah. Gordon is such a great character. And yea, I did the same thing... I was SO sad even though I knew he wasn't dead.

Anyway, I could keep going and have a comment as long as your post, but I'll avoid that. YAAAY BATMAN!!!

Yay for agreeing! :D I haven't seen it twice yet but I certainly plan to. It was such an incredible film that I need to go see it again. Plus I need to figure out the whole Scarecrow dilemma.

It really is. Ledger's performance was beyond phenomenal and completely Oscar worthy. He downright blew me away. I don't think the Joker will ever be performed again and rightly so. Ledger is my Joker now, certainly.

Gordon is a great character! I remember my theatre clapping for Batman and the Joker and stuff and when I started clapping for Gordon, I was the only one. xP He needs waaaay more love. Gary Oldman is so talented - I <3 him.

BATMAN IS TEH SECKS. EPIIIIIIC.
