RingCon has officially confirmed the first guest for this year's RingCon, which will be held from October 12 - 14 at the Esperanto Hotel in Fulda/Germany.

I am sorry to hear you won't go to Ringcon. I have decided that I will be there saturday and sunday. Last year, I hardly noticed the guest... I loved the Ringstars show and just dressing up... Didn't 'score' a single autograph (like I would run after them like a teen girl, hehe) but I did find a lovely Aragorn to have my picture taken with :)

Plus, when should I wear my dress else? (providing I will still fit in to it!)

We have our holidays booked for then, and I really, really need them. We'll attend Fedcon in June to make up for it, which is smaller and less hectic. There's a slim chance we migh be at the press conference, but we won't know before a couple of days previousy. If it works out, we'll have to drink a tea together. :) All these years we know from LJ, and never met! Incredible! :)

Reading that forum is really sometimes like watching kids throw tantrums. "But I want things my way! Why don't you do what I want? I'm the most important person here!" Very amusing to watch, but very annoying to have around you in person.

*snickers* Yes, Pattern recognition is a very easy thing in that forum, innit? But then, it probably is among regulars in any forum or group, anywhere.

I don't frequent forums (fori?) and groups, but I guess you're right. That specific forum, however, looks to me like wank-central. I've hardly ever come across such a great number of self-absorbed, elitist, humourless and wanky individuals in one place.

It's very amusing to watch, but huh, I wouldn't want to have to deal with them in person! (Every three months or so, I go and poke a random git with a pointy stick and look how s/he jumps. Evil, I know, but... heh!)

No, it's not just you. It was really off-putting the last year. With a bit of luck, the British Nutcase Contingent will stay in London and be annoying there, but I don't hold my hopes. Ah, I shall walk the beach in Warnemünde, sit in the Sauna and get many nice massages insteas. Which I prefer to idiots in Pannesamt. >:-)
