I think I'll pass on Bilbo slash, thank you. Seriously now, I have noticed it too. While RPS seems to be hanging in there, FPS is slowing down. That is really sad. Your stories and those of the Magic Rat are a treasure for us fans. I sincerely hope you will keep writing. I realize I've never said it before, but thank you for the many smiles, the ocasional tears and the much enjoyment you have given me.
awwww... thank you, this is very kind of you. I guess rps profits from the fact that the actors are still around and do new movies, which keeps the authors on their toes.
on the other hand, new authors are coming into the fandom. there has been lotr fanfic before the movies, and there will be lotr fanfic after the movies for hopefully many, many more years to come. I'd love to be part of it. :)
I really hope your elves don't ever leave you. There are a number of us out here that are die-hards. Once I grab onto something, I never let it go. It just gets added to. My list of interests and loves goes on for miles..
But you're right. I have noticed that LOTR things in general are talked about less and less. The toys that are coming out in the spring might be the last.. who knows? But I will continue to read, write and dress up as my own elves. Right along side my pirates, vampires (We all know Anne Rice is passed on for most), pokemon (...yea, I have a tattoo of Pikachu.), Final Fantasy, and Battlestar Galactica (Which came BACK! HA! See? There are hopes for Elves if we wait long enough!)
Its a bit like Peter Pan said.. To keep a fairy (or Elf!) alive, you just have to believe.
I have a very single-focused mind. playing in more than one fandom is not my thing (I have the low attention span of a trout). it was just something I observed, but I really have no intention to stop writing or anything. and they can't stop making toys until I got an erestor and a glorfindel action figure! :-D
You almost gave me a heart attack! (until I reached that last line that is) I do hope it will take ages before our Elves will leave. I know that in my apartment they will always linger :P
Keep on writing!! (Aye, that is an annoying hint for more Finding Namo!)
lol! I guess it looked worse than I meant it. I was only thinking "aloud". I have more elves than I can deal with, so there is no danger that I'd be a lonely elfwriter any time soon! :-D

Besides, I think the 'true' fans will remain, even without a new movie.
Of course they may one day manage to make 'The Hobbit' - Bilbo slash, anyone? ;)
