I'm in a celebratory mood.

Tonight, I'm headed to Disneyland for the first time since NOVEMBER which tells you how tragically busy life has been - every time the prospect of a late night at Disney has arisen these past few months, I've just been too exhausted to even consider it. Tonight, though, I come armed with coffee and the spazzy joy of a THREE-DAY WEEKEND driving me. ( Read more... )

And the raise wasn't even a full dollar more.
What? That's barely a raise!

I am listening to The Resistance! It just came in the mail along with Black Holes and Revelations. I'm on "United States of Eurasia" right now, which started out a little too Queen-y but then got really awesome and pseudo-Middle Eastern. Now it's in the Chopin bit.

AH, excellent! Hope you're enjoying it! Yeah, "United States of Eurasia" totally cracks me up. (Reportedly, that last EURASIAAA bit had the band members literally on the floor LOLing when they first heard it played back.)

I love most of the tracks on this album, but my favorites are definitely the title track, "MK Ultra", "Unnatural Selection", and the Exogenesis Symphony. \o/

I haven't gotten into "MK Ultra" yet, but most of the rest of the album is really growing on me. I'm addicted to "I Belong to You," and "United States of Eurasia" is fun times, and "Unnatural Selection" reminds me of "The Small Print" (in a good way), and I dig "Undisclosed Desires," and yeah. "Exogenesis Symphony" is pretty in parts but not songular enough for me.

Oh yes, you definitely should! I am not an FPS girl at all, but this is still one of my all-time favorite games. The world and story are unlike anything I've seen in any medium, and it has the feel of a great mystery the way it's revealed to you: a lot of your understanding (especially early on) depends on how closely you observe your surroundings.

But yeah, my journal title is derived from the game's score - that's how much I love it. :]
