WooHoo!  I'm temporarily well-funded!

Tomorrow is pay-day, so I went online to check my account balances (and pay some bills) and discovered that my tax-refund came today!  A little over $4600!!!  Yeeessss!!!!  :)   It's not quite as good as winning the lottery, but it's a nice boost just the same!

     The weekend is shaping up to be busy...  Trixstir and the kidling will be back on Thursday, and I just got off the phone with a U-Haul rep to book a flatbed open trailer for Friday.  The plan is that the kidling and I will boot up to the grandparent's farm in Lucky Lake on Friday, picking up the trailer in Swift Current on our way.  We'll load ( Read more... )

     I spent the better part of the day running receipts through an Excel spreadsheet to help me with the GST claims for the bowling alley.  I've got that done at last, but I'm going to take the slacker route for the farm's GST report.   Last spring, I was actually keeping up with my purchases, entering them into the computer as I bought things.  ( Read more... )

 
     I don't know why I keep doing this sort of thing: I know well in advance that there's something that needs to be done, such as writing Christmas Cards, registering a vehicle, or filing Tax returns.  Yet year after year, I keep waiting until the last possible moment before getting things in motion, and wind up in a mad panic trying to get it ( Read more... )
