GONE at last!!!!

     I've had a machine from a Sears service call sitting in the shop since last October!  I'm delighted to say that the parts finally arrived yeserday and were installed forthwith!  It took a little more doing than it ought to have, since the key part wasn't quite the same as the original, and required a little tinkering to get it to fit properly

Too bad that checking the level requires you to have them standing, and you couldn't try to do it while they're laying down. Would they even let you?

What about using one of those sanders that go on drills? I don't know what they're called, but I'm thinking like larger dremels.

You're thinking of 'Sanding Drums' - they actually have an 'as seen on tv' gizmo for trimming dog's claws. Getting the pooch used to it takes work, mind.
