  I need some advice.  My farrier today discovered that my new gelding, Dan, has white line disease in all four feet to some degree.  He told me to clean the hoof the hoof, dig out around the hoof wall, and treat it with kopertox to try and slow it down.

I have a soon to be 29 yr old TB mare that I'm struggling to keep weight on.  Her weight was perfect until my mother took over her care around the end of October, for the three weeks my mom took care of feeding- the mare lost over 100lbs.  I, of course, flipped out and moved the mare to the place where I have my other horses by mid- November.  We ( Read more... )

I few months ago i posted about a free horse ( here). In the last 4 weeks he's probably lost about 80 pounds. He was eating, but these past few days he hasn't been eating properly.
