lol. I thought that too, when there was that shot of their hands. I may have snorted.
Jack/Sawyer...it's been so long, I will take anything. That felt golden to me. Remember the days when there were mangoes and snark and all that other good J/S stuff? *le sigh*
Miles is just...MIA. Who the heck knows.
Newsies FTW.
Hurley crying did bring it home. I thought that was a good decision and even though I wish Jack hadn't walked away to cry, it really is in line with his character. For all that that man cries, he doesn't do it that often actually in front of people if he can help it.
Has he ever sobbed right in front of people? I'm trying to recall all the meltdowns he's had in the past and it seems like he's always either wandered away to cry by himself or at least looked away like he didn't want people to see him break down (see the "your daddy loved you" conversation with Sawyer).
I'm sure there will be speculation on why he had to wander halfway into the ocean to cry. Like maybe he had a half-baked instinct to try to rescue the Kwons even though he knew they were beyond saving. Or maybe he was half-debating drowning himself because it's HIS FAULT ALL THESE PEOPLE KEEP DYING WAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH.
Miles is off hiking in the jungle with Ben and Richard, and fuck knows what they've been up to. Finding an evil scheme to save the day I guess.
I... seriously. The Jack/Sawyer stuff made me happy, but.. Jesus. Apart from Jin and Sun which yeah, RANT POINTS, SAYID. Dammit. And damn, is Frank gone too? Because I thought he wasn't by the end but when he didn't show up on the beach... yeah. Hi, show, nice way to kill 60% of everyone I gave a damn about in just one episode.
Hurley crying felt heartbreaking and relieving at the same time, because it felt so incredibly real! (While this time Foxy took a little too long to produce a few tears).
I'm probably the only one who loved this episode. I mean - I found it sad, but good, save for the Titanic part.
Nope. It was sad, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I've seen/heard a few people describe it as the best episode *ever*. Not sure I would go *that* far, but it was up there among the most powerful hours.
I've since read a few more positive replies. It seems that the one who have liked it are more than I thought. :) I agree that it was powerful. And I can't stop myself enjoying (A LOT) those minutes of J/S interaction :)

Kate squished Hurley, didn't she? Ah well. You're right, Sawyer will.

You're right, it was in character for Jack. It just...ruined the moment I wanted? and seemed cold somehow.

I suspect he had to wander away because it made for a nicer shot. I should try to be less cynical, perhaps?

And yeah. And was there a reason to kill them off? Eh...not so much.

I want to take bits of it that were good, but even on most of those the "really?" part outweighs it. For me. I'm glad you loved it.

the jin/sun thing was trite and predictable, but i still found myself moved by it... at least more than their 'reunion', which was so anti-climactic.
missed the last five minutes, but at least we got some jack/sawyer time!

I wasn't unmoved, but I had a lot of other thoughts about it that were less than good.
But hooray for Jack and Sawyer.
