Missed the eclipse, cause I needed to sleep whilst I could, with noise bound to occur from my crappy neighbours (as indeed it did!).

I'd never heard of the Nelson Mass before this, either, but it's a really gorgeous choral piece. More chorus than soloists, actually, which is quite rare I think, but makes it very rewarding to sing.
I do feel the need to do Messiah again sometime soon, though. I used to do a scratch version every year or so, and I'm starting to have withdrawal symptoms. ..

The moon was very pretty when it turned coppery-red, don't you think? At least the sky was clear for once! I think I am developing webbed feet....

It was absolutely lovely. I actually had to explain to a 36 year old woman how an eclipse works today.
