Younger niece R has decided to have her head shaved in October so she can donate her hair to Angel Hair an organization that provides wigs and hair pieces to children who have lost their hair for a variety of reasons. So looks like my career in IT was predestined :-)

One of my oldest friends had a baby girl on Wednesday... It's been a long time since I've held a newborn... I'd forgotten how tiny and adorable they are. Also I'd forgotten how much fun shopping for baby clothes can be :-)

So my younger niece has started event riding... she started taking lessons last year and has so far competed in 2 events this summer. She looks adorable all kitted up in her riding clothes :-)

Older sister N turns 50 tomorrow! Simply cannot wrap my head around that... She doesn't look 50 and I don't feel like I'm closing in on 50. Saw The new Star Trek movie today, loved it so, so much... I don't even know where to begin with the awesomeness of it.

Day 2 of ComicCon... took the nieces again and got to see James Marsters Q&A (Elder Niece enthralled) and also Wil Wheaton (amazing as always) and as a bonus Elder Niece wanted Nicholas Brendan's autograph so we went to get that and as there was not a big line he chatted with her for a bit and when she couldn't decide between pictures of him on ( Read more... )
