NBC Nightly News did an in-depth report tonight on the impact of skyrocketing gas prices on the SUV market. They said new SUV sales have plummeted by 30% upwards to 50% during June as opposed to sales during June of last year. OAG figures show there were more than 29.5 million flights worldwide last year. That's 80,987 individual planes taking off per day worldwide. It's an increase of 4.7% on 2006 and there are now enough seats for 9.6 million people to fly every single day ( Read more... )

All Rosa Parks ever wanted was a chance to ride on the bus like everyone else. The bus took protesters to Washington for numerous marches.
