Rodney logged off the cortex, angrily pounding the buttons on his screen, and John looked up from his sand painting with a reproving glance.

"Yes, yes, I know, no one said this was going to be an easy job, blah blah blah," Rodney said, handwaving away John's disapproval -- or was that disappointment? -- before plopping himself down in John's lap and adding, "but I distinctly remember being told that it had some great benefits."
