Saix is standing in the gym, claymore out although not yet displaying its full collection of spikes. A couple of cannonballs gibber indignant nonsense where they've been sent crashiong back across the room after being fired at Saix, and the scene is a little like the most violent and dangerous game of tennis ever known.

Seemingly, the mansion was blocking his ability to simply leave through a portal of darkness, making this task that much more difficult. For now, Saix's solution is to make his progress across the gym by deflecting whatever cannonballs come at him with his claymore.

" You're doing a great job!" Fai calls out from his side of the gym. It really is pretty impressive watching him return the cannonballs - he supposes it would have been an option for him as well, if he still had his staff, but he is left weaponless.

He pauses, and waves, before quickly ducking away from another cannon ball.

The call from the sidelines makes Saix pause, swinging the claymore up and sending a cannonball flying into a far wall with the clang of metal on metal. He looks at the calling buffoon, the same flat, dead expression as he tends to slip into when he isn't trying for something else, and is nearly hit with a cannonball for his distraction.

"Do something useful!" His voice is little better than a growl as he smack another cannonball away.

" I'm not being hit," Fai points out. " That's fairly useful, I think."

As he says this, he quite literally back-flips away from a particularly menacing-looking Queen cannon ball. He misses it by just a hair - ah, the woes of poor depth perception.

Fai was having a grand old time in the gym. For someone who was weaponless, he probably should not have been having so much fun with it - but it was fun. He was tumbling about and dodging the cannon balls with ease. They weren't terribly difficult to evade, but he was still smiling as he slid by them.

It seems the thought to throw anything back hadn't occurred at all.

Oh sure, he would have to figure out something eventually, but for the moment, dancing around the cannon balls was providing enough amusement. He hadn't had to fight like this in quite some time, if one could really call it "fighting", that is.

Kurogane on the other hand was expressing a more normal reaction to the predicament. He was, for one; not having fun, and two; looking more than just a little annoyed at the whole situation.

Unlike Fai, he tried staying out of the cannon's way for the time being, spotting what looked like a door that might lead them out of this weird place, or at least offer some time to think. "Oi, mage, stop prancing like an idiot for a minute so we can get the hell out of here."

Fai laughed. " But if I do that, I'll be smacked in the face," he said.

He knew what Kurogane meant though, so with another flip or two he was by Kurogane's side once more. He was somehow completely unscathed by it, and truthfully seemed like he had been having a good time.

" Getting out would be good though," he admitted.

Kurogane rolled his eyes in retort to the blond's comment, and waited for him to get over to the side. Truthfully, he would have been more surprised if Fai did get hit by the cannon balls, but that didn't mean he wanted him to keep playing around on the floor.

"Hn. Good," he replied, nodding his head in the direction of the door. "We can try that first. If it doesn't work, then we'll have to figure out another way out of here."

And with an ear splitting screech of an old PA system crackling to life, Yzma's voice crowed and boomed.

"Delinquents found in the halls without a pass shall be appropriately penalized!

Don't expect to be saved by the bell, you willful whippersnappers!"

Eiko had not been having a good day. Dressed in shorts and a shirt too big for her, she'd been scrambling out of the way of the cannon balls the moment she woke up. Fat lot of good the other 'students' in the room were doing. That crazy guy hitting the balls back certainly wasn't doing her any help; scrambling for the balance beam, the girl cringed under its bulk, flinching at the screech from the speakers in the wall.

"Geez," she muttered, scrambling to her feet. "This place is even crazier than usual."

"You can say that again... But then again, I think he's doing us a favor. See those other two? I think they're making a plan to get out of here..." Euphie tells the other girl. She then evades another cannonball thrown at her and scrambles towards the balance beam.

"If we can reach that door over there without being hit, I think we'll be safe." Pointing towards the door.

"I wish they'd get us out of here faster," Eiko grumbles under her breath. It doesn't seem to matter that she hasn't met Euphie before-- introductions don't really matter when you're trying to get out of the way of flying, cackling balls of death.

Taking a much-needed breath, the girl squints over the direction Euphie's pointing at, then frowns. "Yeah, but isn't it locked or something?"

Not that she'd tried opening it.

"I think if we manage to get the cannons to aim at each other, we might be able to do just that. I've observed that the cannons' aim is not that good. I think we can just do that." Euphie replied thoughtfully then looks at Eiko waiting for an apporval.
