[There's a sigh of relief.] Oh, you can? Do you think you might be able to help me out?

Day 2

[counterstrikes]

[Chie's coming over to Rise's house. She doesn't need a reason, but she lets herself inside...just to check on her.]

H-hey, Rise. You home?

[Her throat is still sore from the razorblades, but she'll live...unlike Rise, not that she knows that yet.]

[Congratulations, Chie! You've arrived just as Rise is slowly coming down from her intense pain and easing her way into death's studly arms.

Rise hears her come in. She'll call out weakly:]

Chie...senpai?

[A groan will follow.]

[counterstrikes]

[Damn it! There's a loud thump as she jumps up half of the stairs before running to Rise's room.

This whole thing makes no sense.]

Rise-chan...hold on, I'll call Souji!

[enemyradar]

[Rise's mind is a blur, and she can't really form thoughts.]

Senpai...

[She tries to stand up from her bed, doubled over, and finds herself on the ground the next second.]

( day 5 - phone )

Oh, you got the thpiderth, too... if anybody hath any advice on how to deal with the biteth, could you do me a favor and path them on?

[ he was lucky enough to not get bitten too terribly, but his face has puffed up pretty badly and he can't talk properly. ]

[Well, Rise can certainly tell that she got off better than him. The bites didn't swell up too bad for her. Still taking the talking slow, she can speak fine.]

I will if I get any. Ah, are you okay? D-Do you know anyone with healing powers, maybe?

Well, it doesn't hurt that bad, but I can't really talk properly like thith. And nope, can't thay that I do.

... What about you, are you alright?

Oh, that's too bad. Have you tried the phones, too? You might not be able to talk all that well, but still, someone might be able to help you.

I'm alright. There's not too much swelling. It just hurts a little.

[ Action ] - Day 2

[ The sound of a car peeling down the road is heard. It roars down the road and the brakes slam in front of the house.

Moments later, in stumbles Souji, charging into Rise's room, the worst boyfriend ever. ]

Rise!!

['Sup, Souji? Rise's about ready to let death sweep her off her feet.

Rise rolls over and looks in his direction and groans in pain, but quickly tries to smile in a sorry attempt to cover it up.]

S-Senpai?

[inababanchou]

[ He falls to his knees next to her, taking her hand into his. ]

Rise... Don't talk...

[ He closes his eyes. Behind him, Kikuri-Hime appears. ]

Diarahan.

[ The persona imbues Rise in a comforting green light... Even if it doesn't remove the poison, at least it seems to make the pain more bearable... ]

... There. That should do it.

[ He looks relieved... Too bad he doesn't know the poison hasn't left... ]

[When the pain becomes less intense, she can't help but sigh in relief. She smiles at him; it's weak, but grateful all the same.]

Thanks. That feels better...

[Unfortunately, her breathing becomes increasingly more shallow, and she's getting paler as well. She gives Souji's hand a light squeeze.]

Senpai...I feel cold.

[ Action ] - Day 5

[ Souji is getting better at this. As soon as Rise finishes making her phone call, the front door opens. Souji peeks but moves in quickly. ]

Rise?

[ He spots her at the phone and raises an out-stretched arm. ]

Hm?

[She sets the phone down and smiles (as much as she can manage) at him.]

Oh, hi, Senpai!

[inababanchou]

Diarahan!

[ Kikuri-Hime materializes behind Souji and Rise is imbued with the healing green warmth again. The bites, scratches and cuts heal and the pain dissipates immediately. ]

[She blinks a few times, a little taken aback by how abruptly he did it and how quickly the pain is gone. She recovers from her shock quickly and hugs him.]
