A. I have gained weight since I got the Mirena. I'm not sure its entirely to blame but its definately here and so is the weight. I've had my Mirena ~8 months B. I havnt had lupron, but I have had lots of sharp pains since I got my mirena. they are slowly going away. I have not tried the pill w/the iud. c. no, but horny thoughts do. go figure. d. yes
I think it's highly dependent on which pill. It's something I will have to consider due to the strong likelihood of having to go on again. Weight gain/bodily discomfort/water retention is my #1 concern.
Sometimes eating triggers paining, sometimes not eating triggers pain. I can't seem to win here, and I go back and forth on it.
When I went on and off the BCP I had some of the worst cramps of my life. Only the cramps I started getting later on w/ the onset of endometriosis could compare (but from before then I had no context). It was Orthocyclen. WORST. CRAMPS. EVER.
I'm on the pill for endo (Micronor). I think a lot of it depends on teh person AND the pill that they're on. But, I've been on several different pills and rarely gain weight. The key to not gaining weight is being very very careful with what I eat. Most of them do (at least initially, for me) increase my appetite. Just try to keep a food journal, and only stock healthy foods in the house. It gets hard for me at work, especially b/c of all the yummy unhealthy food choices. I've enlisted a few of my coworkers - I have explained that i'm trying to loose weight and eat healthy and they keep me on track. They're not weird about it, but if we bring in food, they are kind enough to keep it healthy. When someone brought in a cake, and i was drooling, Robyn offered to go grab me a low-fat pretzel. Then she said having a little smidgen of a piece would be okay. It's realy friggin hard. I try to work out. I complain to my boyfriend about being fat and he just doesn't get how hard it is to loose weight with endo and being on Prednisone
