Scorpius placed one hand over his heart in a sincere fashion. "I assure you, sir, that I have been exceptionally good this year," he said. "Albus, however, has been quite naughty."
Albus' mouth dropped open, and a squeak of dismay emerged.
Santa threw his head back and laughed. "Ho! Ho! Ho! Still the rascal, I see, Scorpius," he said. "I know you've been a good boy this year, Albus," Santa added. "Now, what is it you've come all this way to request?"
Albus mangled his hat in anxious hands, but he finally worked up the nerve to say, "I want a special someone for Christmas. Not for me, but for my father. Sir," he added belatedly.
