an update of almost everything

Oh flist, I have been as close to sleepwalking through this week as possible while still remembering to like, buy groceries and drive to work.  At least I have the slight excuse of a cold, but those were my accomplishments.    o_O

To report: it's been a week since I came home from San Francisco and it was completely fabulous, not just for the ( Read more... )

I totally spoiled myself and watched beccatoria's wonderful vid already, but I'm trying to be good about most everything else. ;) I adore Amy too, and I have a few more thoughts are her that are still stumbling around my brain . Which will hopefully make it out now that I've laid down some thoughts on River so I can stop flailing randomly in other people's journals! :)

I've armed myself with lists, so hopefully this week will go better! And yes, LOL Texas, and San Francisco being amazing enough that it's now officially on my list of Places I Might Move. :)

I think I could get used to Eleven being flustered and all "Time is not the boss of me!" regularly, it's endearing. ;) And I still have some all-around amazing stuff ahead, apparently. (I swear I typed that sentence straight. Alliteration, whee?)

I'm also so glad you had a good time in San Francisco, not to mention jealous because dude, I'd love to go there! It looks awesome and yes, verrrry pretty.

AND OMG ALSO RIVER. I totally agree with you about the ending, which is difficult because if not for those last five minutes it would be a thing of beauty, but also...there's this part of me that's glad she's not dead and glad the Doctor was that desperate to save her. So mostly I either don't think about it and assume she did die, or I think about the fact that OBVIOUSLY if he went to that much trouble to save her consciousness, his future self is GOING BACK TO GET HER OUT ( ... )

So so pretty! (I am not contemplating how to make oodles more money and afford to live there. Not. at. all. :)

RIVER.

I know! I can't actually wish for her to have died, even if I would have been ok with it had it actually happened that way? But I am hoping it's all a set-up for something EVEN MORE AMAZING, and the fact that Steven Moffat really seems to enjoy writing her character gives me hope. (I actually mostly enjoyed Tennant's Doctor in these too.) And I will be checking out your thoughts after I make my way through the rest of this episode ( ... )

I just got Okorafor's book from Amazon last week! Er, need to finish reading Eragon and those library books on the nightstand before I start reading yet another book, though.

Eleven! Amy! Rory! River! Yay, season five!

It's really a wonderful book, I had a HUUUGE smile on my face most of the way through and I think I want to go find some of her other stuff to see how she does adult sci-fi/fantasy. Enjoy Eragon!

YAAAY, all of them! :) I need a team-y icon soon if I keep having this much fun with them.
