After 2 and a half hours spent in A & E this morning, I found out that my ankle isn't broken!! Yay!!! It's very badly sprained and I may need physio on it if it doesn't improve, but YAY!!!! Also, tramdol is very nice stuff! It made me feel a bit sick, but it got rid of the pain, which is the main thing. My ankle was so sore after all the poking and ( Read more... )

I know I haven't posted in a while, I'm sorry. Things have been a bit crazy here of late with various things.

Today I found out that the psychotherapy I've been waiting for won't happen. To cut a very long story short, I have waited 18 months for them to tell me that the options I have now are paying for counselling (i.e. non-NHS), 6 sessions of ( Read more... )

Velvet is back home and sleeping off the anesthetic. The lump was quite big, and I think bigger than they were expecting, but they were still able to remove it quite easily. Hopefully Velvet won't bother his stitches too much, although I am prepared with various things to stop him if he does (including a mini cone that one of the vet nurses made ( Read more... )

Velvet has a tumour on his tummy. It's about the size of my thumb-nail and round - think large Malteaser! He saw the vet today and she thinks that it's most likely a tumour (it could also be some kind of cyst), but since it's fairly free-moving that it should be easy enough to remove.
