Em sighed as she dropped her bags into their temporary accommodations while the ship underwent repair. They'd been warned that the environment was warm. "Emmy." David grinned down at his wife. "So this is New Vulcan, huh? It's very," He paused momentairly to think of an appropriate word. There wasn't much that he could say about it. The colony was undeniably arid and uncomfortbly like home. "well it's very nostalgic." There, that was a perfectly good word.

She turned to lie on her back. "Difference is, you won't be able to get chicken and waffles out there." she laughed. Em peered at him. "Dead or not, I still don't like grits." She closed her eyes and sighed. "This will be a nice vacation from hanging around space all day."

"No waffles?" David sounded a little disappointed as he pulled a face, sitting down on the edge of the bed. McCoys always loved waffles, they were delicious little slices of heaven. Extremely unhealthy delicious slices of heaven but okay occasionally. "Bah, you never had any taste. Grits are good, proper Southern food." He commented. "I'll tell you somethin' for nothin' Emmy, Old Southern Doctors like me were not meant to go up there." David waved a hand at the ceiling. Space was a dangerous place after all.

She snorted and rolled her eyes. "Good proper Southern food. Never said I was a good, proper Southern girl to start with." She smiled at him. "Must be something about McCoy Men and Space. Joanna seems to be just fine with being in space."
