Reading the postings on ShovelBums.org really makes me feel as if I'll be able to get a field job next summer, with little problem.  People are still posting jobs, even this late in the season, and to places all over the country, including here in California.  This is very good to know.  It means that my plan of finishing my BA, going to field ( Read more... )

Bad News:  The Forest Service job didn't pan out.  They don't have the money for the position, but Dorit said I would have gotten it if they had, and asked if she could get in touch with me later if any other jobs popped up.
