Today was the first lecture of my first film class of the summer, Recent American Film: Militarizing Masculinity.  We will be exploring masculine roles in a military context, and the film list is action packed:

• Full Metal Jacket (1987)

I like movies.  I like movies so much that, during the summer after 7th grade, all I did was watch movies.  I watched so many movies, I started keeping an inventory of the movies I had seen, complete with info on directors, actors, date of release, and notes on whether I liked it or not.  A few years ago, I started watching all of the movies on AFI ( Read more... )

Bad News:  The Forest Service job didn't pan out.  They don't have the money for the position, but Dorit said I would have gotten it if they had, and asked if she could get in touch with me later if any other jobs popped up.
