A bus ran a red light near downtown yesterday and hit a lightrail train. The videos of the crash are scary. Check 'em out.

We had a really good day today. We went to the ZOO!!! There was a 60% chance of rain this afternoon, but we went anyway, figuring the crowds wouldn't be so bad if everyone thought it would rain. Car chase in NW Houston. Mom and I were in the car on the way to pick up Sis, and were sitting in the driveway to Starbucks waiting to get on the freeway southbound, when in the northbound lanes several police/sheriff SUVs went screaming past. I realize that it's almost noon, but I'm not sleeping well, and didn't go to sleep last night until about 5am, so I'm still really tired. The neighbors across our back fence are doing yard work. You know how I've been complaining about the local news saying "run from the water, hide from the wind?" Well, now they have a website - houstonhidefromthewind.org.
