I'm supposed to be at a Wedding Rehearsal - actually, by now I'm supposed to be at dinner, celebrating with the worthy couple.

Unfortunately, I'm in no shape to contribute to the festivities.

Just a bunch of everything. I've been incredibly stressed lately for a wide variety of reasons. Several things have come together to jump up and down on my head, my life, my fears, my sense of self.

I'm afraid all my rambling probably runs together after a while. I think I've hit something somewhat new, but it's obviously got overlap with several other posts I've written.

I've gone back and read to myself my own writings on the subject, initially, because I needed the reminder, and because I've learned more.

First of all, I regularly declare that I would rather be wanted than needed. I already explained that in the post I linked above.

To elaborate on the observation that "need is not personal", ( I have rambled on at length and still probably not explained what I really mean )

Someone in a posting board I was perusing recently brought the subject up for their own reasons, and I ended up having rather more to say than I realized. Along the same lines as why I don't wait by the phone and what I've learned about helping people, I offer ( the following guidelines for maintaining a satisfactory relationship with me )

This is the usual Interview Meme with the caveat that all 5 questions will be quite personal, and possibly intrusively so.
