WHY HALLO THAR JULIA/SEBASTIAN!!!!!!!!!!! I've "seen" many shows (almost all that exist), but they are and will always, always, always will be my most favorite As Long As You're Mine. They are perfect.

ALSO: YAY Wicked spam! I love the flail, and anything with Julia in it is always automatically awesome. I'm in love with her Act 2 dress as well, and it blows my mind that each Elphaba's dress is uniquely made for each of them. AMAZING.

PS. No one brings the LULZ quite like Idina Menzel. That woman and her lyrics. :))

Glad you enjoyed the Wicked spam. There can never be enough love for Julia as Elphaba, nope. Her Act 2 dress is GORGEOUS. Of course, after I watched Wicked last night, I had to watch the broadway.com video again (it's like a ritual), and I love how she explained that the dress was a singular piece for each Elphaba. My sister asked whether they got to keep their costumes after the show - good question! And makes sense, doesn't it, since no other Elphaba can use it again?!

TOO funny. You'd think a woman who originated a role on Broadway would at least know the words to the songs she was onstage for, no? I mean, goodness knows, the orchestra knows all the words to all the songs after about two weeks of rehearsals...I suppose her only saving grace was that she was, technically, singing Kristin Chenowith's part?

She looks great and has a lovely voice that manages to make the words "Oh, shit," sound lady-like, at least.

Mwahahaha, glad you enjoyed!! The sad thing is that Idina really wasn't singing Kristin's part. Well, not entirely. She sang her own bits and screwed those up royally too. SO FUNNY. I think it was probably a case of really gawdawful short-term memory loss - she forgot the first few phrases, and nothing she could do after that would help, so she just gave up. I know I would have! ;)

She looks great and has a lovely voice that manages to make the words "Oh, shit," sound lady-like, at least.

OMG you're right; that *is* her part. And I think forgetting one line would make me so nervous and flustered I'd forget even the easy ones. Especially if it were a song I'd won a Tony for and the people in the audience were the ones who actually remembered the words.

I liked when she played with the rhythm, though.

Which is what makes this performance even more faily, no? ;) Aside from the fact that she still sounds SO GOOD when she remembers SOME of the lyrics. And you're right about the audience thing: EVERYONE in that theatre would have known the lyrics inside out. As they proved by singing along, LOL.

LOL IDINA. I love how some random fan made up awesome harmony there at the end. Have you seen Eden's extremely faily drunk Defying Gravity? I don't have time to look it up now, but you should check it out. I haven't been youtubing Eden a lot or anything.

Hi, Julia!Elphaba! Awww. She's so pretty. I think they do something different with her wig in Act II that makes it look less like her hair is going to eat her, which might have to do with the increase in sexy. For this picspam, you get my favorite Julia!Elphaba icon.

ISN'T IDINA PRICELESS. I love how she basically gives it up for lost by the end - she knows she's never gonna remember the right lyrics! It's moments like this, mixed in with all that awesome riffing, that make me go... Awww, Dee. ♥

I think I HAVE seen that video of Eden singing DG, but ages and AGES ago. Back when I was spamming Wicked exclusively everytime I got online. Methinks it's time to LOOK IT UP AGAIN. You youtubing Eden? NEVER.Oooh, good point about the wig. Her wig in Act I is pretty scary. But it's definitely also make-up. She has much darker lipstick in Act II, which helps define her features more, IMHO. Plus, being Julia and therefore being awesome, she carries herself differently in Act II too. SOMEHOW SHE IS JUST PRETTIER. I CANNOT UNDERSTAND IT. Icon
