1. So, after a HUGE, yummy Japanese buffet dinner yesterday night,
mirime and I headed home to... errr, watch Wicked. *ahem* And it was, predictably, awesome. There's something about seeing the actresses sing THAT score - that irresponsibly written score - up close, acting the heck out of it even as they're, well, screaming their faces off. This was...

Hi, Julia!Elphaba! Awww. She's so pretty. I think they do something different with her wig in Act II that makes it look less like her hair is going to eat her, which might have to do with the increase in sexy. For this picspam, you get my favorite Julia!Elphaba icon.
DUDE, TRACIE THOMS AND EDEN ESPINOSA. FTW. Now I'm gonna have to go see Rent AGAIN (erm, I'm trying lottery again today). Maybe that explains why Tracie was in the audience the other night!

I think I HAVE seen that video of Eden singing DG, but ages and AGES ago. Back when I was spamming Wicked exclusively everytime I got online. Methinks it's time to LOOK IT UP AGAIN. You youtubing Eden? NEVER.Oooh, good point about the wig. Her wig in Act I is pretty scary. But it's definitely also make-up. She has much darker lipstick in Act II, which helps define her features more, IMHO. Plus, being Julia and therefore being awesome, she carries herself differently in Act II too. SOMEHOW SHE IS JUST PRETTIER. I CANNOT UNDERSTAND IT. Icon ( ... )

I did a cursory search for that Eden video - it's been a while since I've seen it too - but I literally have to walk out the door for Rent lottery right this second and I couldn't find the right vid.
Juuuulia. That is all.
Maybe I can convince Amanda to do Rent lottery with me again when Tracie takes over as Joanne - she won't do it otherwise. I'm going with Wes (non-flaily Julia fan) today. Amanda miiiight kill me a little if I saw Wicked without her! But she's seeing it without me in October, so maybe she can bite me. ;-)
OKAY, OUT THE DOOR.

No worries, I shall hunt down Eden and her faily drunk rendition of DG. Shouldn't be TOO hard. ;)
I think you've mentioned this before - about Amanda seeing Wicked without you. Or have you? How come though? Tickets have already been bought? And OMG. The trifecta of Kerry, Kendra & Aaron. WTF. I THINK SHE SHOULD BITE YOU. GO LOTTO WICKED ASAP.

When you find the Eden vid, tell me the link? I CANNOT FIND IT, RAR. (Edit: Okay, I found it, but it's not on youtube anymore - it's here.)
(Your layout is fail for trying to read the comments, by the way. Grey on white = difficult.)
Oh yeah, Amanda won tickets for October, but a friend from home is coming to see it with her. Boooo. So I wouldn't feel THAT guilty for seeing it without her!

Oh thanks for uploading it for me! I didn't watch it, though I DID watch the other vids my friend linked to of Eden singing For Good and what not. She's quite awesome.

Well, that's the deciding factor. I was wondering what I'd do today, and have been thinking about changing my layout for a while. MWAHAHA. LET'S DO IT. And yes, the comments thing always bugged me a lot too. Bah.
GO WATCH WICKED. LOTTO IIIITTTT.

Stupid Rent. I didn't care much about it at all before this summer! *is oddly resentful of the show for being addictive* We'll see if I manage to get there again before it closes - August is a CRAZY month for me. Though apparently Tracie starts in a week! Not much notice there.
Oh, I didn't upload! Found the link gifted on broadwayshare when I figured out that it had been taken off youtube. Gee, I can't imagine why Eden wouldn't want a public video of her messing up DG and flicking everyone off.
Now I feel like I was kind of mean to your layout. :-\ It's pretty! Just...hard to read in parts. But layout changing is fun! I wish I knew more about how to make lj do things.
WILL GET RIGHT ON THE WATCHING OF WICKED. MAYBE LOTTO TOMORROW.

Oh goodness with the August schedule. You weren't kidding when you said that month is going to be all kinds of INSANITY. :( Take care! Find time for shows, those are important! How come you're making that sudden trip back to Indiana though? Hope everything's okay?
INTERVIEWS OMFG. I don't envy you those. :( I hate interviews with a passion and am SO BAD at them. Please to be keeping us posted so I can keep my fingers crossed for you.
New layout and header all done, LOL. Can we say obsessive? Because that's what I most certainly am... :D

*boggles at August* I'm only going home because my grandparents (who practically raised me, aren't going to be around much longer, etc) were complaining that they weren't going to see me between early May and late November - so I wedged a trip in between the interviews. Maybe not the smartest thing I've ever done!
I actually kind of like interviews? They don't stress me out, at least - I'm just concerned that I'll go in and enjoy it and think I did well, and then not get any callbacks at all. Am excited about some of the firms, though - there are several that are very involved in theatre law (I know, how fun would that be) and several others that have lots of overseas offices where I might be able to work for half the summer. Yay free trip to somewhere cool?
SO MUCH EASIER to comment now, yay! Layout/header are pretty.

Ouch about the tight tight schedule. :( But it'll be nice to see your grandparents, yes? I just hope August won't drive you mad. IT'S OKAY. THINK OF AUDIOS OF EVITA TO KEEP YOURSELF SANE.
Btw. OMFGJM. TOMORROW. *flails*
Wow, you're a far better person than me at being grown-up then. ;) Interviews get me SO nervous, and I still feel like a complete kid when I go for them. Not that I've had one in about six years. :P Those firms sound GREAT. Half the summer overseas would be brilliant - plus, no awful hot New York weather! - and theatre law?! OMFG YES PLEASE.
LOL. I APPRECIATE THE NEW LAYOUT TOO. Thanks for getting me off my butt to actually CHANGE the darn thing.

Again with the hypothetical my-living-in-NYC thing - god. We'd NEVER get to any shows, LOL. You, me and Leslie clearly all have this weird sleeping patterns thing going for us that is not conducive to anything but having breakfast at dinner time and catching a show right after. ;)
And my California trip has the worst timing ever - the week AFTER Evita and the ween BEFORE 9 to 5 starts its LA run! FAIL, ME.
I have no words beyond:

Oh god, okay, I am sufficiently chastised by the Julia pics! Eeeek. *hides*
Singapore is actually one of the most common overseas locations! Other than, like, London, Hong Kong, and Tokyo. Australia is a little iffier, though one of the firms at the top of my list has offices in both Sydney and Melbourne. There would be so much flail! But then I would be faaaar from Broadway for 6 weeks. I could probably survive.

I'm still trying to convince myself to give my current one up so I can move to NYC. It's not easy. ;)
GOOD. JULIA PICS WILL STALK YOU FOR YOUR FAIL.
Singapore DOES have tons of law offices, so that would be really awesome.
But then I would be faaaar from Broadway for 6 weeks. I could probably survive.
LOL. Try six months. Apparently I have decided I can never be away from NYC for longer than that. Since there's that trip in January, and then possibly another to catch 9 To 5 later in the year. GOD. THIS IS WHY I CANNOT QUIT MY JOB.
