Oz speed, Wicked whores!

1. So, after a HUGE, yummy Japanese buffet dinner yesterday night, mirime and I headed home to... errr, watch Wicked. *ahem* And it was, predictably, awesome. There's something about seeing the actresses sing THAT score - that irresponsibly written score - up close, acting the heck out of it even as they're, well, screaming their faces off. This was... Oh good, relieved about the timestamp. Why am I still up, by the way?

August...is ridiculous. Amanda's family is here from the 4th-10th, I have interviews the 12th-13th, suddenly going home to Indiana the 14th-17th, MORE interviews the 18th-20th, California the 20th-27th, school starts Sept. 3rd, and then California AGAIN (maybe, hopefully) Sept. 4th-6th! And yes, I realize that some of those dates overlap. Haven't quite figured that out yet. :-\ Must find time for shows! Thanks for the good luck on interviews, btw - NERVOUS.

Oh, I don't know if Eden got the vid taken down - I just saw someone on youtube linking to it (link didn't work) and apologizing to Eden because it was "too good" not to put up. I bet people get paranoid if someone official-sounding contacts them about their videos - I know I'd take things down if someone asked me to!

Someday I will find a layout/header I actually like. Probably when school starts and I am procrastinating. Have fun redoing yours!

At this rate I will not be awake for Wicked lotto tomorrow. We shall see. *fails at sleeping*

Dude. Why ARE you still up?! You're turning into me. And while I approve, in theory, how are you going to lotto Wicked if you don't go to bed NOW?!!? *pokes you*

Oh goodness with the August schedule. You weren't kidding when you said that month is going to be all kinds of INSANITY. :( Take care! Find time for shows, those are important! How come you're making that sudden trip back to Indiana though? Hope everything's okay?

INTERVIEWS OMFG. I don't envy you those. :( I hate interviews with a passion and am SO BAD at them. Please to be keeping us posted so I can keep my fingers crossed for you.

New layout and header all done, LOL. Can we say obsessive? Because that's what I most certainly am... :D

I, er, slept through the lottery. Whoops. Will try it on Tuesday! It's much harder to sleep through a 6pm lottery than a 12pm one. :-D

*boggles at August* I'm only going home because my grandparents (who practically raised me, aren't going to be around much longer, etc) were complaining that they weren't going to see me between early May and late November - so I wedged a trip in between the interviews. Maybe not the smartest thing I've ever done!

I actually kind of like interviews? They don't stress me out, at least - I'm just concerned that I'll go in and enjoy it and think I did well, and then not get any callbacks at all. Am excited about some of the firms, though - there are several that are very involved in theatre law (I know, how fun would that be) and several others that have lots of overseas offices where I might be able to work for half the summer. Yay free trip to somewhere cool?

SO MUCH EASIER to comment now, yay! Layout/header are pretty.

Awww at oversleeping. It's okay, I woke up at 3pm. I'd have totally missed the lotto too. (Actually I would never be able to make matinees if I lived in NYC, LOL.)

Ouch about the tight tight schedule. :( But it'll be nice to see your grandparents, yes? I just hope August won't drive you mad. IT'S OKAY. THINK OF AUDIOS OF EVITA TO KEEP YOURSELF SANE.

Btw. OMFGJM. TOMORROW. *flails*

Wow, you're a far better person than me at being grown-up then. ;) Interviews get me SO nervous, and I still feel like a complete kid when I go for them. Not that I've had one in about six years. :P Those firms sound GREAT. Half the summer overseas would be brilliant - plus, no awful hot New York weather! - and theatre law?! OMFG YES PLEASE.

LOL. I APPRECIATE THE NEW LAYOUT TOO. Thanks for getting me off my butt to actually CHANGE the darn thing.

Oh, I have actually slept through (well, not gotten up in time to get to) matinees for which I actually had tickets. Fortunately they were cheap tickets! I only made it to the Rent matinee yesterday because Wes is on a normal-person schedule and harassed me to get myself out of bed and down to midtown.

August should be fun, really - aside from the interviews, it's all vacation-y fun stuff, just a LOT of it! I will probably forego sleep for the entire month. And my California trip has the worst timing ever - the week AFTER Evita and the ween BEFORE 9 to 5 starts its LA run! FAIL, ME.

OH YEAH. JULIA TOMORROW. I kind of keep forgetting! *BAD FAN* Still don't know when I'm supposed to get there or if Leslie's going.

One of the firms I want to interview with handled all of Urinetown's copyright infringement suits against regional productions that duplicated the Broadway show's choreography/staging, and another was started by a lawyer who also wrote Broadway musicals! FUN. And it would be awesome to go overseas for half the summer, especially because I could go somewhere I've never been (like Asia or Australia!) and the firm would pay! One firm REQUIRES two weeks in its London office - DARN.

Again with the hypothetical my-living-in-NYC thing - god. We'd NEVER get to any shows, LOL. You, me and Leslie clearly all have this weird sleeping patterns thing going for us that is not conducive to anything but having breakfast at dinner time and catching a show right after. ;)

And my California trip has the worst timing ever - the week AFTER Evita and the ween BEFORE 9 to 5 starts its LA run! FAIL, ME.

I have no words beyond:

OH YEAH. JULIA TOMORROW. I kind of keep forgetting! *BAD FAN*

WTF. I have to break it out TWICE in one reply?!

(Edited to add) Yeah, I made it just for you. ;) But I suspect this is going to be a ridiculously useful macro to use...

Those jobs definitely sound interesting. Dude, imagine if you were posted to a branch in Asia. Like, in Singapore! Or to Perth and Melbourne! Imagine the flail that would ensue from being in the same country as Sal/Lana/me/whatever. OMG. :D

I know, the sleep schedule of fail is PERFECT for theatre and absolute crap for everything else. Why am I trying to have a real career again?

Oh god, okay, I am sufficiently chastised by the Julia pics! Eeeek. *hides*

Singapore is actually one of the most common overseas locations! Other than, like, London, Hong Kong, and Tokyo. Australia is a little iffier, though one of the firms at the top of my list has offices in both Sydney and Melbourne. There would be so much flail! But then I would be faaaar from Broadway for 6 weeks. I could probably survive.

I'm still trying to convince myself to give my current one up so I can move to NYC. It's not easy. ;)

GOOD. JULIA PICS WILL STALK YOU FOR YOUR FAIL.

Singapore DOES have tons of law offices, so that would be really awesome.

But then I would be faaaar from Broadway for 6 weeks. I could probably survive.

LOL. Try six months. Apparently I have decided I can never be away from NYC for longer than that. Since there's that trip in January, and then possibly another to catch 9 To 5 later in the year. GOD. THIS IS WHY I CANNOT QUIT MY JOB.
