I like being boss.

Dude...crazy inverse lady...CHILL. I never got a good look at her until we all stood up to leave...but she was actually quite old as well...maybe in her 40's or something, but definitely not younger. And the way she was acting during the movie with the arm flalling...seriously...take a vallium or something.

I havn't tried my chocolate boulder yet...s-c-a-r-y...i'm sure i'll have a full recap for you soon.

All in all it was a really interesting/fun day...yeah! Thanks for the invite hun.

OMG I thought it was actually a joke product when you were telling me about it, like that was his gimmick on the show. LOL now I want it.

Yay! I'm glad to hear you had a good time; I'd have loved to be there with you, but, alas, it wasn't meant to be. I did, however, watch the BDM twice today (once with Joss-mentary and once without), so I'm not *too* bummed. (Except for my crying over Wash, and Zoe going all batshit on those Reavers; gets me every time.)

But I would really, really love for there to be charity screenings next year, too.

I think the event was a huge success, most of the counts aren't even in yet and almost $40,000 has been raised for Equality Now! I'm so impressed!

and I cry every time at that, and knowing it's coming, oh it's so sad. Damn Joss and his loveable characters! ;)

Glad to hear you had so much fun at the Serenity showing. Very cool that you won the prize you wanted.

I liked the way they organized our prize drawing here, everything was laid out in the front of the theatre and as the numbers were called the winners went up and chose what they wanted. That way at least you could pick something special to you or something you didn't already have. Two thumbs up to that idea :)

I hope they do these screenings every year :D

Lol, I think I saw the back of your head. I was sitting fairly far back in the theater because I had to wait for my friend before going in and she was running late. *I* was there on time though, goshdarnit. :) I'd never seen the movie before so it was really great to watch it with all the fans. Dear lord, though, there was one guy there wearing leather pants (saw him 'cause he won a prize) who really should not have been wearing leather pants. I mean, only certain people can pull off wearing those, and that guy? Was not one of them. Bah ( ... )

I don't think there was a bad seat in that theatre, no matter what time you arrived :) It was a pretty sweet set up :)

LOL I noticed the guy in the leather pants as well when he went up for a prize.... to paraphrase from Hackers, "it's a privlege not a right" hehe

Sushi fic is actually a fanfiction group where a few fans thought out a Mal/Inara based storyline that takes place after the movie and it's been really well written. Thus far I've been enjoying reading it all :)

I was lucky enough to see Serenity on the big screen opening weekend, but I have a feeling your showing was even more fun. :-)

I saw it when it was in theatres the first time around (not opening weekend though, I hadn't seen the show so I had no idea how good it was going to be then) but my theatre wasn't as into it. There were a few people who laughed at the right spots but mostly I felt that I was pissing people off everytime I started giggling. Sitting in a theatre of Browncoats was definitely more fun, everyone was so into it which was a great way to see the movie. I really do hope they make these screenings a yearly event.

It makes a difference, seeing it in an audience of fans. You could tell who was the fan in the theater I was in, because about two thirds of the audience sat through the credits, having heard there was something special at the end (turned out to be an instrumental version of the original theme music). The theater workers were standing at the doorway with their brooms and dustpans, looking *very* confused.
