On the walk to the bus this morning the boys were chattering about Trixie, mom's new puppy when it suddenly, finally, occurred to Twisty G that she used to have another dog.

Oh gods, I'm gonna have to remember this.
One of my girls is expecting, and showing already. I told Amber that my friend had a baby in her tummy, and she looked at me like I was batshit insane. She does that look so well, which bodes well for the future.

Maybe I'm weird, but I always find questions sort of awesome (as well as terrifying). Yes, they leave you feeling like oh-god-oh-god-what-do-I-SAY?, but they also bring home that you have the chance to to really shape another human being's worldview - to help them understand the questions that even for adults are really difficult, and that many of us have wrestled with endlessly ( ... )
