I would like to announce that I've eaten like a total pig so far this weekend, buying candy and cookies when I know that I shouldn't, eating crap frozen dinners, and I do not feel good. Both physically and mentally, I do not feel good. This is how I used to eat. Every single day - "just this one thing, diet starts tomorrow, a few won't hurt, I'm ( Read more... )

You could also be coming down with something. Just pay attention to what your body needs. :)

Nah, astoundingly and knock on wood and all, but I've managed to not become sick in this house of germs. =) It's just not eating right.

If it helps at all reading this makes me want to start eating right again. You are absolutely right, eating well makes you feel well. I need to get back on track and stop complaining about the way I look.

I'm a prayer, so I'm sending up some request for Cash. <3

Honestly, I can't believe I spent so many years whinging about not getting what I wanted because of how I looked (or thought I looked, even) but not doing anything about it. I feel so much better now and I'm only halfway to my goal. It's just better, to take care of oneself. Who knew?

I think we're both on the right track - I read about you working out sometimes and it makes me want to work out - but we just fall off once in a while. No worries. Get back on, that's all.

And he's much better today so for what it's worth, hey, thanks. =)

It all depends on the kind of frozen food you eat. For instance, this past week I got assigned 8 movies to translate (I'm doing the last one today). I have lost so far 48 lbs. this year, need to lose a similar number to that, so I went to the store and bought me frozen Healthy Choice entrees within the caloric amounts allowed in my diet for the week so I didn't have to think about making lunch or dinner and could concentrate on work instead. I also did yoga three times last week (from 60-90 minute classes). Would have done more, but my butt was hurting badly so it was a choice of being able to walk or doing yoga again. I chose being able to walk.

Oh! From the health food store, get Cash some Elderberry Syrup. It's yummy and helps boost the immune system something fierce. Let me know how that works out for you...

I ought to check out the Healthy Choice. And the Elderberry Syrup - he's much better today, actually, but that's something I've never heard of and I'm all about immunity. (I've managed not to get sick so far...)

But no, I know the frozen foods I've been having aren't any good. Marie Callendar's ones full of processed cheese goodness and pasta.

And it's mostly the lack of willpower I've been fretting about. I bought some maple candy at Cost Plus as a treat, then walked right out and bought a cookie at Mrs. Field's because it smelled good. Had way too many chocolate raisins at the movie. Just no control, you know what I mean?

But weight loss is not about willpower, but lifestyle choices. I'm fretting that I had two many potato chips at Margo's yesterday (something I never buy at home). So today, I'm correcting it accordingly. Fretting about it would only make it worse, in my opinion.

About the elderberry syrup - I'm a Virgo. We're health nuts, as a rule. And I don't respond well to normal medicines, so I test different things on myself and only recommends what really works. This is one of those things. Good luck!

I know, and my lifestyle has entirely changed this year. That's why reverting back to not being able to stop myself from eating all the candy and cookies upset me.

But no worries. I had a good Sunday and I'm back to normal. =)

I deserve this pint of ice cream

So help me, the individual-serving cups of B&J are the greatest thing in the known 'verse when it comes to that. I have yet to go to Safeway and not see them 10 for $10, and I still get the sybaritic pleasure of "finishing an entire container of ice cream" without eating the whole pint. (And if you actually use the little tasting spoon that's packed under the lid, it takes almost as long, to boot!)

Heh, what an apt icon you have. =p

That sounds yummy and like a very good idea, but really for the way I snack it's better for me not to have any ice cream in the house at all. If there are ten, I'll eat ten.

I'll remember to grab one, though, next time that Buy One Get One Free Gingerbread Ice Cream is looking irresistible.

Reason number 47 why I work Fezziwigs: Fezziwigs don't gain weight during the holidays. We get up and leave the house when it begs us to just curl up on the sofa and spend the day watching movies and baking cookies. We dance all day long. We eat and drink tea and have that one extra piece of chocolate because we've earned it. And at the end of the week, we move our skirt hooks over because if we don't, our skirts will droop next week.

Heh, next year I hope to have the money and time to go to dance events more. And, you know, make it to Dickens. I've only been one time. =/ And I loved it so.
