I've been off LJ and DW for close to an entire week, and I'm trying to get back on the horse. Of course the first place I come is right here.

eaweek said she hoped that people who didn't like the episode could be forced to sit and read this. I didn't have to be forced, because I always - always - enjoy what think, what you postulate, and how you write about those things.

I still, however, have horrendous problems with this story. They have to do with how I approach story telling, and how I approach the art and liturgy of writing. Those problems haven't changed.

Despite all that, I understand that my violent sense of deep dislike for the episode is a thing connected to levels of the story other than the mythical and metaphysical that you have spied.What you spy is always worth reading. What you do in finding these things, mining them and bringing them to the surface of the story is priceless

Indeed, they are pretty darned reasonable; I just had one hell of a busy week, and my brain went in to "too few spoons" thinking (or lack of thinking) mode. There are days when I simply can't, for the life of me, find anything worth saying to other people, and I can't respond to other people.

Oh, goodness, no. I didn't for a moment. I understand the frustration and eventual anger at people who only seem to hate watch. I know that these people are folks who generally love the show, but they are like bruised lovers who focus on being bruised, rather than on the love they still carry.
