"Mum! When I cut my hair, it doesn't hurt!" The Cherub, 4 years old.

On the plus-side she *did* need a haircut...

The moral of the story being: Never give a small child scissors!

At least it wasn't another child's hair she cut. My brother, aged about 4, cut the hair of the little girl next door. My mother had to go and explain...

LOL! I did the same thing at about the same age, and ended up with a short style for a very long time.

Hee! Thankfully she has very long hair, so it's not very obvious. But it's probably best to give her a trim anyway...

Hee! This was an important scientific experiment! Hair doesn't hurt when you cut it. Tell me she didn't give herself a buzz cut though...

Exactly! She was so pleased! :)

And no, no buzz cut. Her hair is loooong, so she's needed a trim for a good while.

I cut all my sister's hair off once and was completely shocked that it didn't come right back. Neither my mother nor my sister have ever let me forget it.

That's brilliant! I'm sure the Cherub thinks hers would come back immediately too... thankfully she didn't cut off an awful lot.

Neither my mother nor my sister have ever let me forget it.
Of course not! What are families for?
