He ruffled his fur out, his paws already tired from gripping onto Kage's shoulder. "This place just gets better and better, doesn't it? How I love my job."
Sarcasm was an art for the feline, and sometimes a good coping mechanism. He had seen death before - oh, he had seen such death before - but he did not enjoy watching it. Instinct had him turn to his kvetching skills.
Kage crouched down and extended his arm so Pan could walk down to the ground and rest his paws. After his furry passenger had disembarked the First Mate squinted ahead and pointed past the Dining Hall.
"Security booth's that way. Once we get there we'll be able to get out easy, but getting there might be a bitch'n a half," he said, and wiped a hand over his chin. His shoulders were relaxed and his voice was light despite the grim subject manner. "Buttercup, you're gonna wanna remember that if anything moves towards you, it's tryin' to kill you no matter what form it takes. Iodine, you... Hell, just keep one of your eyes out."
The demon raised a sleek, wary brow, black eyes narrowing just enough to convey a certain air of disapproval in Kage's general direction.
"Fuck you, I'm blind," Iodine snarled, words blunt and chin tilted high in self-righteousness. One long-nailed hand gestured to what appeared to be his windows to the world, pure ebony with tiny lights dancing in their centers, never settling, always restless. "These suckers don' work. The only one that does--" A pause, pale lips parting so that his tongue could flick out to reveal the disturbing presence of a third eye in its center.
"Is thish one. Now where tha fhuck... are whe...?"
