[Jak's there, in a booth tucked away in a corner. A long empty glass sits beside him, and his chin rests on his chest. He's not quite asleep, and he stirs when he hears footsteps, sitting up straighter as he sees Damas.

This isn't exactly the kind of place he expected to see his father.]

[Damas, without asking permission, slides into the booth. The gauze that had wrapped around his throat has been reduced to a single pad attached with medical tape.

He says nothing, just looks pointedly at the glass.]

[Jak sighs and pushes it away, then rubs his forehead on the back of his hand.]

If this is about what happened ...

[survivorking]

I am concerned, Jak. Very, very concerned.

[He looks up at Jak, a frown etched deeply into his features.]

It has nothing to do with what happened.
