[Damas was seeing a pattern here. He knew Jak was in Sergei's-- it was obvious. It seemed more often that Jak was in some state of drunk or hungover; no way to live your life, certainly.
But what boggled the mind was that it continued. And Damas, in his not-inconsiderable-wisdom, was, somewhat inexplicably and much to his own annoyance, unable to stop it, and unsure of what to do.
He was Jak's father, but he kept telling himself that that time was gone, it had passed and there was nothing he could do to get it back. There was some part of him that wondered if Jak wanted a father at all.
He walks into Sergei's, searching for his son.]
