Who? shadesofeco and survivorking What? Jak is trying to murder his liver. Damas is tired of watching his son do this to himself. B| When? Tonight Where? Sergei's Rating PG-13 and up
[Jak's there, in a booth tucked away in a corner. A long empty glass sits beside him, and his chin rests on his chest. He's not quite asleep, and he stirs when he hears footsteps, sitting up straighter as he sees Damas.
This isn't exactly the kind of place he expected to see his father.]
[Damas, without asking permission, slides into the booth. The gauze that had wrapped around his throat has been reduced to a single pad attached with medical tape.
He says nothing, just looks pointedly at the glass.]
[He can't hide the touch of horror in his voice. He fears for what's going to happen to his boy if this continues-- he already doesn't like what Jak's become.]

Look at me!
[Damas barks the command, anger flaring. He's tired of this. He's been through this. Adelle snapped him out of it all those years ago, when Spargus was a lean-to in an oasis with a bunch of outlaws sleeping in it.
The fact that Jak won't make eye contact, though finally gets him, though. Show some respect, Jak.]
[Jak scowls and up go the walls. He turns his head and looks away.
Who is he here? He's not Mar. He can't be Mar, he's never built Haven City, done any of the things he should have. He's certainly not a hero, he can't even keep his friends alive here.
Yeah yeah pity party, whatever. He'd just keep going. That's what he does.]

[He looks up at Jak, a frown etched deeply into his features.]
It has nothing to do with what happened.

Oh wait. He knows that look.
He grunts and looks away.]
I'm fine.
[He doesn't even sound like he believes it anymore.]

[In case Jak wasn't used to it, mostly because he didn't get it as a younger teenager, Damas gives his boy a "father-does-not-approve" glare.]

Who is he?
He drags a hand through his hair and sighs.]
I'm not sure I know anymore.

[Damas is disappointed in you, Jak.]
You need to find that out for yourself.

[He knows the boy won't respond.]
I am watching you unravel yourself thread by thread. No father should have to watch his son destroy himself, in this manner or any other.
