At a local café, 6:30 pm : December 20 - Tuesday

In a local café at a secluded table for two sat Wakashi, he was sipping gently at his tea and in front of him sat a plate with a slice of cake left relevantly untouched. Across from Wakashi sat a very annoyed Rinji.

“You are what?” she asked, arms crossed tightly across her chest.

Waka carefully set his cup back down on the saucier. “I am transferring schools after winter break.” He looked her in the face as if it was simple to understand.

Rinji quickly fixed her glare onto the table top, with a sigh she picked up her fork, commonly found in these western styled cafes, and continued to eat her own cake. “I still don’t understand why you would even consider transferring schools. You happen to attend Y Academy pretty much the top school in the Tokyo region.”

Waka didn’t respond to her brag but started to finally eat his cake as well. Rinji was always like this when she didn’t get what she wanted. She was more of a pain then anything else but Waka had learned to grin and bear it. Even now as they sat in the café Rinji was showing off to anyone that noticed.

She sat up straight making sure the emblem on the burgundy blazer of her school uniform was in plain view. Everyone had to know her superiority to them; it always had annoyed Wakashi when she showed up for a date in that stupid school uniform. He learned to take her places where she didn’t feel the need to boast. It was when she was out of her school uniform and some nice expensive dress did he remember why he tolerated her.

The dress looked just as nice on the hotel room floor but let no one else hear it, Rinji liked to play the innocent good girl. Most of the girls in the upper academies did but few actually were. This made him wonder about the contrast he would find at Gakuin, the school itself was no where near the level of Y. It wasn’t that Wakashi was nervous or disappointed, he could care less of its ranking, and it was the attitudes of the students that did attend that were intriguing him.

He looked back up at Rinji as she sat watching another table of students in disgust. Even with a sneer on her face he couldn’t deny how beautiful she was, he hair long and fell gracefully to the middle of her back with the ends just slightly curled. It was a cinnamon color and matched her big brown eyes, everything about Rinji screamed perfection and most guys would die to be with her. If only she could keep her spoiled mouth shut she would be perfect. He was broken out of his concentration at her voice directing towards him.

“What school was it you were transferring too?” she asked and tilted her head a bit to the left.

“…..Gakuin.” he answered softly hopping she hadn’t heard of it. He was nervous she had heard of its reputation. “WHAT!” she screeched, apparently she had.

Waka kept his head to his tea as Rinji jumped up and grabbed her purse and coat. “Yani-kun I am horrible at these long distance relationships, I can’t cope without your there for me. If you transfer I think we should just end this, it would be for the better. Good day to you.” She hurried out without looking back.

Wakashi knew this was going to happen. “Make that twelve.” He muttered under his breath, it was the 12th time she called off their relationship. He wasn’t bothered too much about it, she would call him back in a few days and the two would get together again. He leaned back and asked a waiter for more tea, he ignored those that were watching him having heard the break up. This would be an interesting development after all this Gakuin High.
