Hello everyone! I haven’t forgotten about LJ, even after a couple of years of not posting anything to it. I do occasionally check posts from friends and comment but life and Twitter got my attention

Wow, I still remember when you were living on the gulf coast, sounds like you've been busy over the years. Congratulations on your new job! I hope things go well for you. My life was status quo but then things radically changed in 2018. My mom suffered a mild heart attack in November last year, ended up back in the hospital in early February with what the doctors thought was Diverticulitis, but it actually was a fistula between her bladder and intestine. She declined surgery and came home for hospice care on March first. She passed away on March twenty-seventh. I was with her when she passed, needless to say, I never want to do hospice care ever again, nor do I want to see another person die ever again. Tom (Duncan The Dog) and I are still together. September twentieth this year will be our eleven year anniversary. Tom's health is in rapid decline. He needs more fusion on the disks in his spine. He also has Diabetes and was diagnosed with chronic Leukemia. While we're still active in furry, we haven't been to any

Oh hey, yeah I have been quite busy since I moved. Sorry to hear about your mom passing. I had a few family members pass last year. It’s hard to deal with, but that is just how life is. Enjoy others while you can for sure.

So you wanna move to Florida too? What part of the state?

I'm looking at central Florida more towards the gulf side, I don't want to be near the east coast side.

Yeah! And thanks, I do miss some things about home but I am doing good so far here.

Yeah, you might recall that I moved out to the west coast for several years, so for sure I understand the need for a change of scenery sometimes. ;)

Thanks! There are certain aspects about Florida that I really like (beaches, activities) while others (traffic) I could go without. I still have this desire to move West at some point in my life. Mebbe it could be retirement destination for me :p
