Musicians have to tour these days, even in their 70s, but I wonder if for some of them they never expected to actually get to that point and so they just don't know what to do now.

I wonder what his position is with regard to that. He's always mostly toured to try out new stuff, or to do prestige projects. And he's now in the position (which he's talked about before) of having all his peers die before him so his attitude right now is pretty nihilistic. I feel like he's ignoring the physical toll to still get the live imput which he for some reason wants and is like fuck it, I'll die on the road lol.

Also I feel like not touring or really doing much music the past few years might have contributed to his decline a lot. I'm joking when I say he's a machine running on hate but it's also actually true. He needs the anger to live.
