The Blue Angels are in town, as they are for 4 days each August. This generally elicits a bout of complaining from Seattleites, as mocked by Dylan on Metroblogging, and about which I am a fence-sitter. They are noisy, polluting adverts for the armed forces, but they're also pretty damn cool to watch ( Read more... )

i saw the blue angels in chicago many years ago and i thought they were really good, not as good as the red arrows but i maybe biased ;)

Hehe... it's so many years since I saw the Red Arrows that I really can't compare them. One thing that scores points for the Blue Angels is that I get to see them while I'm walking around town, and I haven't been to an airshow since I was ickle. On the other hand, the thought of one of them crashing into a building full of people is rather scary....
