Summer bliss

We had leftover bread and tomatoes and are lucky enough to have Trader Joe's nearby that sells basil plants for $3... so we had panzanella for dinner. (I'm eating wheat again until my blood test at the beginning of August). That taste is pure summer to me. It's so fun to watch kids make new friends isn't it? Oh I'm so jealous you have merry go rounds there...when we were visiting Oregon a few weeks ago it was the first time my kids were able to play on one and they loved it, round here they think they're "too dangerous" so sad! And fresh basil is great isn't it? I've loved having my little window herb garden, it makes cooking so much more fun!!!!

I'm sure they are? But they also give a look of wonder and abandon that it's hard to achieve any other way.

Hey, I'm going to try to get down there sometime this summer. We HAVE to get together. I'm just not on LJ much these days but I miss you!

I agree I was so excited to find a park with one. I'm going to keep searching around here there's got to be one somewhere my boys just had so much fun on it!

That would be great! Miss you too! I was going to say hi while we were in Oregon but the time went by so fast!!!
