Yesterday Dave and I ended up hiking with the dogs in the woods by Lamartine. He wanted to see if he could find and show me some Lady Slipper flowers that had grown in years past there. We didn't find any but we did find the leaves of some. Either we were too early or else those plants didn't have the energy to put out flowers this year. Some

I haven't given up hope but there's no possibility on the immediate horizon. I hope I live long enough to be involved with them.

I keep meaning to take Beau for a walk in a cemetery. I used to love reading headstones.
