Had a super time yesterday at McConnell's Mill hiking the Kildoo Trail with Candy. Usually we hike it in a counterclockwise direction but this time I wanted to see it clockwise. I took a lot of pictures (of course). I slipped on mud under fallen leaves twice and fell. Luckily I fell backwards and landed on my backpack and didn't get hurt. Both ( Read more... )

I'm sorry that you slipped and fell. Glad you didn't get hurt.

Looks like a great trail. Love to see the covered bridge and the old mill.

After falling last January I see how easy it can happen now. I'm glad I had a backpack on to take the force of the fall.

It's quite a photogenic place.

Love this park. Since it's Slippery Rock, kinda wondering if I've been there before.

And of course at Slippery Rock you WOULD fall twice, right! Lol!
(seriously though, glad you weren't hurt.)

Especially love your photo of the mossy rocks and boulders along the trail.

Here in Western Pennsylvania there's a Slippery Rock Creek and a town nearby called Slippery Rock. You might have passed through or seen a sign for it if you traveled on interstate 80.

I thought that too! It wasn't named slippery rock for nothing.

Yes, I'm from PA. That's why I said I might have been to that park before, because I went to school near Slippery Rock and have visited the area many times.
