A dark and dismal morning today. Decided to not hike. Though it was at least dry in the morning. Instead Dave and I went shopping at Walmart. It's raining now. Oh wait - that was five minutes ago - now the sun is shining. Very changeable weather at the moment

Well, i don't know about this being the best picture of me, but i am trying for reality pics (and acceptance of my reality) and sometimes i do open my mouth and laugh so there you go.

I tasted a hurricane once when visiting the South Pacific, Rarotonga, and I was terrified. The owners of the place we were staying advised us to "just hang onto one of the palm trees if needed."

What's worse - a fire, a flood or a hurricane? Dunno. I hope your sister gets through this. Being the fatalist that I am I can only say .... just wait there'll be another one.

Hang onto a palm tree? I guess. I'd want a full leather motorcycle suit and helmet too if a palm tree was all the protection i could have. What a horrible scenario. I'm never experienced one.
